The Vasque Women's Talus WP Shoe is a combined nubuck with mesh textile uppers that provide premium fit. The UltraDry™ membrane is the waterproofing agent for this pair. The Talus UD uses a polyurethane midsole with Vibram® outsole that provides excellent grip with deep lugs for better walking experience. The Vibram® can be clearly seen in the images down this post.

I purchased a pair of these boots a few days ago and have worn them walking the dogs and running errands to break them in. So far I've walked about 10 miles in these boots and find them very comfortable. The other thing I'm noticing is that my feet aren't sweating in them. I plan to use them for light day hiking trips. The pair I purchased also came with an alternate set of shoelaces the same color as the boot (if you don't like the purple). It's a sturdy boot with good toe protection in case you're like me and tend to kick/trip over a rock occasionally when hiking on the trails.

Great looking, high quality construction and very comfortable fit. I wore these to go hiking in Hawaii and felt very secure on rocky lava and inclines with gravel. Also wore them for birding through a tall grass. True to size fit with a medium thickness hiking sock.

The boots are great. They are for my daughter she is going to outdoor adventure camp for a month and needed a good pair of hiking boots. The will last her for many camping trips and adventures to come. The size good she wears 8 1/2 normally and took a 9 in this boot.Great boots!
I just returned from my first overnight backpacking trip---it was a 5 day, 4 night hike in the mountains in northern California. The terrain was moderate to difficult. I purchased these boots specifically for this trip. I did break the boots in mildly before the trip, just walking around town. These boots were excellent. It felt like I was walking in slippers. We had perfect weather so I can't vouch for the waterproof nature of the boots, but overall I would highly recommend these.
I bought these boots for a 4 day camping trip. Lots of hiking, very uneven and unstable terrain, some of which involved decent climbs, waterfalls and swamp-like muck and was very impressed! You can step directly in water or mud and the second the boot is lifted out of it, it's as if nothing ever happend, totally dry and doesn't even look touched. They were comfortable enough to wear all weekend, all the time, and i'm now planning on using them for rain and snow here in the city because they're just so great! Highly recommend these.
